DESCRIPTION:Challenges of Social Design – From Concept to Product \nHow can social change be achieved through design? Which cooperate forms and strategies of design are needed? How to get to a more society-oriented way of designing? \nSocial and participatory design can help to develop products tailored to the needs of the citizens. More and more designers create products and services with a positive impact on society. His projects evolve around the topics of Social Design\, Co-Design and Participation and the transformation of our society(es). He explores Open Source for Circular Economy. He is cofounder of the the Open Source Circular Economy Days (oscedays.org)\, the Open It Agency (openitagency.eu) and runs The City Is Open Source - City Hacking Project (thecityisopensource.de) and Mifactori (mifactori.de) amongst other projects. \nDE Lars Zimmermann (larszimmermann.de) ist Künstler und Ökonom. Er entwickelt Projekte zu Open Source Hardware\, Kreislaufwirtschaft\, Kreislaufdesign und City Hacking. He trained as a photographer and completed a degree in communication design before founding the agency in 1994. He is in charge of client counselling\, corporate culture and the strategic refinement of the agency. \nAbout SCHOLZ & VOLKMER GmbH: Scholz & Volkmer brings in line the economic objectives of their clients with the actual social challenges. In this sense the company developed different products like the online platform “Zeit-statt-Zeug”\, the App “Radwende” or “Kiezkaufhaus” – a local and ecological alternative to amazon. The company is working for several clients such as Riese & Müller\, Klima-Bündnis and Greenpeace. In the future\, more and more people will develop new products\, strategies or services in multicultural and interdisciplinary teams. Creativity\, intuition and the capacity for interaction with people from other cultures are skills that people will need for a successful professional career.
